Never Forget starts previews in West End
Never Forget, the musical based on the songs of Take That, has started previews at the Savoy Theatre in London’s West End. With less than two weeks remaining until the show opens, excitement levels are rising for the five stars of Never Forget.
Never Forget officially opens to the West End public on Wednesday 7 May after a successful tour of the UK, which took in Cardiff, Edinburgh, Manchester, Glasgow and Stoke. The jukebox musical, which features Take That classics like ‘Could it be magic’, ‘Pray’, ‘Babe’, ‘Back for good’ and ‘Relight my fire’, tells the story of five guys working to become the ultimate Take That tribute band.
Brought together by a man with big ideas, the boys are promised world domination and quickly form a genuine bond. However the arrival of ballsy record exec Annie Borrowman tests the boys loyalty and friendships as they ride the rollercoaster of fame and fortune. Essentially, Never Forget is a feel-good comedy about love, friendship, ambition and betrayal.
Never Forget stars Dean Chisnall (Woman in White) as Ash Sherwood, the Gary Barlow wannabe. Craige Els (Spamalot, Mamma Mia!) plays Jake Turner (aka Robbie Williams); Tim Driesen (Mamma Mia!) appears as Adrian Banks (Mark Owen); Eaton Jones (Les Mis, Joan of Arc) is Howard impersonator, Dirty Harry, while Stephane Anelli plays Jose Reize (or Jason Orange).
Spectacularly staged with classic Take That tunes and a hint of romance, Never Forget is a really uplifting theatrical experience. Book your tickets today – It Only Takes a Minute (sorry – terrible pun!)
