Dance Umbrella is proud to present the highlight of its international festival of contemporary dance calendar, Overture 2012; taking place at the Royal Albert Hall over the weekend of 1-2 November.
Overture 2012 Background
Renowned choreographer, Royston Maldoom OBE, has been commissioned to direct 120 young dancers from London in a monumental production of Shostakovich’s 10th Symphony. The symphony will be played live by the London Symphony Orchestra. Maldoom will take 120 strangers with little experience of contemporary dance or classical music and turn them into a cohesive professional dance company.
