About Elgar Gala Concert
Enjoy the inspirational music of English Composer, Edward Elgar, at the Royal Albert Hall. Last year the Albert Hall’s Elgar Gala Concert sold out, so make sure you buy your tickets early from Abbey.
Celebrating Elgar
Edward Elgar is perhaps best known for his Pomp and Circumstances Marches (written between 1901 and 1930) and The Enigma Variations (first performed in 1899). This Gala Concert will showcase three of his most popular and enduring works.
- Pomp and Circumstance March No.1 (Land of Hope and Glory)
- Cockaigne Overture Cello Concerto Enigma Variations
- Pomp and Circumstance March No. 4
Playing Elgar
The Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Gala Concert will be performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with Christopher Warren-Green conducting and Julian Lloyd Webber on the Cello.
