About Jersey Boys
Jersey Boys is a documentary-style musical based on the lives of one of the most successful rock ‘n’ roll groups of the 1960s – Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. Jersey Boys won four Tony Awards in 2006: including the award for Best Musical.

Jersey Boys tells the legendary story of a group of working class boys from a rough background who went on to become top sixties group The Four Season. The musical tracks the band members’ early lives and the band's journey to the heights of stardom in an uplifting rags-to-riches tale.
Jersey Boys Background
The Four Seasons were Tommy DeVito, Bob Gaudio, Nick Massi and Frankie Valli – all of whom grew up in Newark. Part pop concert, part jukebox musical Jersey Boys has been a huge hit in the USA, taking $400,000 the day after it opened. Inspired by the sounds of Motown, The Four Seasons created a niche sound with catchy hooks and innovative arrangements: the songs were really pop symphonies.
