About the Dominion Theatre
The Dominion Theatre on Tottenham Court Road mainly hosts live stage shows and music concerts. Judy Garland, Maurice Chevalier, Sophie Tucker and Shirley Maclaine being just some of the names who have appeared here. It also became a cinema in 1930 although it no longer hosts film premieres.
In the 1980s, the Dominion was used to stage the epic musical ‘Time’. This meant the whole theatre was gutted and reconstructed for the show’s awe-inspiring effects.
We Will Rock You by Ben Elton and Queen is currently showing at The Dominion Theatre and follows two reruns of ‘Grease’, a unique ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’, ‘Scrooge – The Musical’ and Disney’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’.
